An Immersive Virtual Reality Game using speculative scenario
Botanical Realms is a First-Person Perspective (1PP) Immersive virtual environment game project that delves into the intricate and evolving relationship between humans and nature. In particular, Botanical Realms draws attention to the historical weaponization of the natural environment in IT/FR border regions, where the manipulation of botanical resources has been employed as a means of control, surveillance, and defence. Players/ Viewers will be immersed in a digital replica of the border landscapes set into a distant future, the speculative scenario, inviting participants to engage with an array of mutated plants, border technologies, and relics of past and present migrations.

Plants study
At the core of this project lies a meticulous exploration of non-native plants within the border region. Delving into various categories and scenarios, this project unveils their introduction to local ecosystems and their integration into the site’s border management strategies. By mapping these plants alongside the border infrastructure to emerge a dynamic narrative
Virtual Plants Speculation
To create the virtual plants, a multi-step process was undertaken, involving = photogrammetry and modelling techniques. These technique enabled the precise reconstruction of the plants' physical characteristics, ensuring their accurate representation in the virtual realm.

Chapter 1
Story Background: :
“You find yourself in a realm on the edge of reality, where the harmony between humans and plants has been shattered. The Earth's fate hangs in the balance, and you are about to witness its dire consequences…”
Chapter 2: Shift to the vitual border environment
In this immersive gaming experience, players venture through a dynamic landscape and encounter a crucial tool for survival: a radio player that connects them with the knowledgeable Phytopharmacist. Guided by arrows and hints, players must rely on their instincts to navigate challenges posed by the mutated plant life.
The Phytopharmacist’s voice emanates from the radio player, serving as the players’ mentor. The Phytopharmacist issues warnings about the dangers of the mutated plants and underscores the urgency of evacuation. Players are encouraged to explore the terrain, unearth clues, and harness available resources for self-defence. The radio player becomes an indispensable guide, offering valuable hints and directions to surmount the chapter’s obstacles.
Throughout the journey,the Phytopharmacist remains a steadfast companion, providing timely clues and directions to ensure players’ progress and journey.

Curation
The immersive spatial strategy for this VR project meticulously orchestrates a holistic visitor experience, extending from the moments before stepping into the virtual realm to the after-effects of the encounter. Conceived as a cocoon of solitude and undivided immersion, this enclosed and intimate space captivates the senses.
Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a projection screen that provides a tantalising glimpse into the player’s in-VR interface, igniting curiosity. Only one individual is permitted inside at any given time, enhancing the sense of personal connection with the virtual environment. To further elevate the immersion, visitors tread barefoot through a 9-minute session, heightening their sensory engagement.
Adding an element of dynamic engagement, VR headsets are suspended from above, beckoning visitors to embark on an enchanting journey that captivates the senses and transcends boundaries. Our spatial strategy will not only transports players into the virtual realm but also aims to usher them into a world of unparalleled immersion and connection.
